The International Hospital Federation (IHF) is an international non-governmental organization, non-profit in nature. 

Its members include hospitals from around the world and healthcare organizations with a distinct relationship to healthcare delivery. IHF provides them with a platform for the exchange of knowledge and strategic experience, as well as opportunities for international collaborations with various stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

Established in 1929 after the first International Hospital Congress in Atlantic City, USA, under the name of the International Hospital Association, it was renamed the International Hospital Federation after World War II in 1947.

IHF recognizes the essential role of hospitals and healthcare organizations in providing medical care, supporting health services, and providing education. IHF's role is to assist international hospitals in working towards improving the level of services they offer to the population, with the primary goal of improving societal health. 

Implementation of digital healthcare strategies using telemedicine, artificial intelligence (AI), and virtual reality is emphasized. Innovative programs, projects, and best practices from various organizations are presented through lightning discussions
